10 Reasons to Join the Cleveland Fusion

Whether you want to be a player, a coach, or just want to cheer us on in the stands, here are the top 10 reasons why you should be a part of the Cleveland Fusion; Northeast Ohio’s professional women’s football team.

  1. True Competition
The Cleveland Fusion is a member of the Women’s Football Alliance (WFA), which has more than 60 teams across North America. We compete alongside and against some of the strongest female athletes out there.
  2. A History of Excellence
Started in 2001, the Cleveland Fusion franchise has a history of performance and success.

  3. Family Focus
The Fusion family extends beyond our players, staff, coaches and fans to all our families as well. We encourage family participation, as it keeps us balanced during the toughest times.

  4. Diverse Background
The Fusion’s motto is “Real Women, Real Football”, meaning we have women from all walks of life coming together to play football. We do not discriminate based on age, income level, race, religion, or sexual orientation. We come together for the love of the sport; so if you are here to learn, to play, and to win, you can find your place in the Cleveland Fusion.

  5. Opportunity to Grow
Being a part of this team is no easy task. The Fusion will teach you endurance, respect, and teamwork. It will challenge you mentally and physically, but push you to reach your highest potential.

  6. It’s a positive outlet
After the craziness of a long day, football is a great way to redirect your energy.
  7. Be a role model
Join an environment where women are empowered and reminded that we can accomplish anything we set our minds to. We are the role models for younger generations to prove that we can do anything.

  8. Be A Badass
It takes grit to play women’s football. Being a part of the Cleveland Fusion makes you an automatic badass.

  9. Be a part of something bigger than yourself
At the Cleveland Fusion, we do more than just play football. We engage with the community by volunteering and supporting local businesses. In addition, by playing against teams across the continent, you become immersed in a close-knit community outside Northeast Ohio.
